Breast Augmentation

Today’s implants are stronger, safer, and are available in such a variety of shapes and sizes that it can almost feel overwhelming. The great part is, we can fine tune to your specific desires and anatomy. It is important to do some homework when contemplating implants so that you are familiar with the options of implant position (above or below the muscle), fill (saline or silicone), surface (textured or smooth), profile, shape, and vendor (I typically use Sientra and Mentor products). We will discuss which may be best for you at your consultation.

Choosing a size is perhaps the most stressful decision, and we have made this tremendously easier by utilizing a full range of anatomic sizers (“falsies”) and a 3 dimensional imaging system called a Vectra at your consultation. The size you select should allow for flexibility, so don’t shoot for an extreme increase. Remember to consider every aspect of your life. You are picking for your fat days and your skinny days, the gym and the night on the town, the boardroom and the bathing suit. You want to be able to play them up or tone them down, and not let the size define you.

Breast Augmentation: Taking the Next Steps

Especially with aesthetic treatments, seeing is believing. Please take some time to review our Breast Augmentation before and afters gallery. It will help you set expectations, and may help you discover questions you have about the procedure. Some of the answers to your questions may be found in the vendor brochures and educational materials, available for download on this page. In the patient education section of our site, you’ll find an informative blog, videos and podcasts on this topic and many other aesthetic treatments.
